Fast Approaching Season!

Today i was sitting looking up at the calendar and realised the first NPS is fast approaching, now im feeling kind of nervous but very excited.

Since i last wrote i have been really getting stuck into my training. For the past week ive been doing lots of interval training all different lengths and ive found it hard as ive not been resting as much as i usually do between stuff like that . Towards the end of the 2 weeks tho i felt like i was coping with it alot better. Im still kind of getting to grips with using the power tap and knowing when to stop my efforts when they deteriorate but im trying to learn quickly.

My weekend up in the Lake District to try

out my new taurine was soo good! The first day we went to Whinlatter and i really enjoyed the trail, but felt not very confident on my bike as the position felt so different. But the next day we rode the North Face Trail at Grizedale and i loved it! My confidence was sky high by the end of it and loved my new racing machine. But unfortunately that was the last time i rode my taurine as the lefty has fault with it so its waiting for a replacement.

Yesterday i went up to macclesfield to train with Jenn and Andy, and as always i came away feeling suitable knackered (which i really like). The session consistent of some 4 minute efforts some sat behind andy and some with me and jenn doing through and off. Was really fun although as usual i managed to over cook most of the efforts. I think i tned to get a little excited but can rarely maintain it, something i definately need to work on. One effort i was on andys wheel with a tail wind and we were going soooo fast! I was thinking please dont hit a pot hole now!

Now im having a rest day which is nice, think im having an easier week this week as im hoping to do a race with Nadine down in Milton Keynes next weekend. Im really eager to start racing, especially road racing. After a horrific day at work today im looking forward to jumping into bed soon, and its not even 6 yet!

Ill try to remember to write more often, im so forgetful :)

Enjoying my break from work

Today was the first day of my half term holiday from work. And man i needed it. The last half term has been challenging to say the least. I had a rest day from the bike today in preparation for my fitness test which i will be doing in my garage tomorrow. I will be using my new powertap which i have been lent, and i hoping to smash my last attempt as i feel so much more powerful now. We shall see.
So ive spent the day being creative making an anniversary present for my boyfriend.
Also this weekend a got my hand on my new cannondale taurine, and omg i have fallen in love! It is actually the most amazing bike i have ever had. Its first outing will be whinlatter forest in the Lake District next weekend. Im hoping it rides as amazing as it looks. I will keep you posted on that.
Im very glad the weather has cleared up now and most traces of snow have gone. Im really hoping to get in some big rides towards the end of this week before my mountain biking weekend in the lakes.
Now im going to go have some tea and put my feet up, what a life it would be if i didnt have to work :)
